Laugh After Dark ComedyFest 2025 Submission Terms
By submitting to Laugh After Dark ComedyFest, I understand that if selected to perform, I agree to be available in Las Vegas from October 27-29, 2025. I acknowledge that no travel, payment, or accommodations will be provided to festival participants unless specified separately in writing.
I understand that all submission fees are non-refundable, and not all submissions will be selected for participation. Judges have full discretion over selection decisions, and feedback will not be provided for entries not selected.
I understand and agree that if selected to perform, my performance will be filmed, and audio recorded by Laugh After Dark Entertainment LLC (LAD). I irrevocably consent to LAD photographing, video recording, and capturing my name, voice, appearance, likeness, and any materials I furnish. LAD may publish, exhibit, and distribute these materials, including promotional or commercial use, on media platforms managed by LAD or its partners. I acknowledge that all rights to these recordings and any related content created by LAD from the festival belong to LAD, except for a license granted to me to use such materials for promotional purposes, as provided by LAD.
LAD retains all rights to the recordings, photographs, videos, and any other content created from the festival, including reproductions and derivatives. However, I retain full intellectual property rights to the original content of my performance and may continue to perform and rerecord my material without restriction. LAD grants me a license to use provided recordings or media for promotional purposes related to myself, the festival, or LAD.
LAD may, at its discretion, distribute the festival recordings or related content on Sirius XM. In such cases, any royalties will be paid through my Sound Exchange account only, and LAD will not be responsible for additional payments.
Submission Requirements
Standup submissions require a 5-7 minute video with quality audio for consideration and must be submitted through the official ComedyFest website. Film submissions must be completed and paid for via Film Freeway. For terms specific to film submissions, visit FilmFreeway.com/laughafterdarkcomedyfest. By submitting, I authorize LAD ComedyFest to use, distribute, and share any submitted photos, film posters, trailers, synopses, and movie stills on social media channels or partner sites. Foreign films not in English must have English subtitles. All submission fees are non-refundable, and submission does not guarantee selection.
Films and performances may be submitted in multiple categories; however, each submission must be complete with a separate fee. All selections are determined solely by the judges, with no guarantee of acceptance.
General Provisions
I represent and warrant that I own the rights to the submitted content or have the necessary authority to license it to LAD. The content does not infringe on any intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other third-party rights and complies with all applicable laws. The relationship between the festival and the submitter will be exclusively with the individual submitting the film.
I release and hold harmless LAD, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, or losses related to the distribution, display, or use of my content on laughafterdark.com. This release covers any claims related to intellectual property infringement, defamation, or invasion of privacy, except in cases of material breach, gross negligence, or willful misconduct by LAD.
LAD reserves the right to remove or discontinue the distribution of my content at its discretion, with or without cause, and without prior notice. Such removal will not be considered a breach of these terms, and LAD shall not be liable for any claims, losses, or damages arising from the removal of content.
Any confidential information shared by LAD with me in the course of the submission process must remain confidential and may not be disclosed to third parties without prior written consent.
These terms will be governed by the laws of the state of Nevada, regardless of conflict of laws principles.
These terms constitute the entire agreement between me and LAD with respect to the submission and participation in the festival. Any amendments to these terms must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
These terms may be executed in counterparts, and if any part of the terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder will remain in full force and effect.
The waiver or failure of LAD to exercise any right under these terms does not constitute a waiver of further rights.
By submitting, I acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions and agree to the Laugh After Dark ComedyFest Rules and Terms.
PARTICIPANT

Laugh After Dark Entertainment, LLC, also known as “ComedyFest,” is thrilled to present our line-up of events, which includes in-person Physical Events such as The Laugh After Dark ComedyFest Standup and Comedy Film Festival, as well as Online Events. These events are collectively referred to as “Events.”
By registering for, attending, or participating in any ComedyFest Event, including the purchase and possession of any entry or access credentials (such as wristbands, badges, tickets, passes, and giveaways), whether physical or digital, you acknowledge and agree to these ComedyFest Participant Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”). These Terms apply to you, as well as any individual or entity you may be representing.
IMPORTANT LEGAL INFORMATION REGARDING LIABILITY, ARBITRATION, AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER: These Terms contain essential information about our liability limitations, your indemnification obligations, the applicable law, and the dispute resolution process, which requires binding arbitration on an individual basis to resolve disputes instead of lawsuits in court and jury trials. Additionally, these Terms include a class action waiver.
ComedyFest Credentials
- Credentials: ComedyFest, its agents, and representatives are the exclusive creators, sellers, and distributors of ComedyFest Credentials. Any Credential that has not been legally acquired from ComedyFest or its authorized agents or representatives will be deemed fraudulent and invalid, and ComedyFest reserves the right to take legal action against any person or entity involved in creating, disseminating, or using an unauthorized Credential.
- Applications: Only application forms, submission forms, proposals, or other offers located on official ComedyFest channels will be deemed as official ComedyFest applications and considered for fulfillment. Any other forms of applications will not be considered.
Refund & Revocation Policy.
- ComedyFest reserves the right to cancel, revoke, or refuse any transactions with any individual or entity at its sole discretion and at any time. ComedyFest is not responsible for any penalty, fee, loss, or expense incurred by Participants resulting from such action, regardless of whether it was foreseeable or advised.
- ComedyFest does not provide refunds for any reason, including Application fees and Credentials transactions. Payments made to ComedyFest are non-refundable, even in cases of illness, natural disasters, travel-related issues, or any other reason. ComedyFest will not issue refunds, deferrals, or credits for revoked Credentials.
- In case of cancellation of an Event, Participants may defer their Credentials to the next ComedyFest Event of the same type. However, Participants have no legal remedy against ComedyFest for any actual, consequential, or punitive loss or damages of any kind, including refunds or expenses incurred.
- If an Event is postponed, Participants’ Credentials will be valid for the rescheduled dates in the same calendar year. Participants have no legal remedy against ComedyFest for any actual, consequential, or punitive loss or damages of any kind, including refunds or expenses incurred.
- Unused Credentials have no monetary value and cannot be credited to future years or events, except if the entire Event is canceled, and Participants defer their Credentials to the next Event.
- ComedyFest does not issue refunds or credits for failure to redeem discount coupons during the registration or application process.
- Discounted Credentials prices are based on the date payment is received in the ComedyFest office.
- Lost or stolen Credentials will not be replaced. Participants must purchase new Credentials at the full price in effect at that time to maintain access to the Events, including showcases, parties, and conference content.
- The use of Credentials by anyone other than the authorized individual will result in the revocation of the Credentials without a refund.
- ComedyFest Credentials are issued to, can be picked up by, and used by only the Participant named in the registration. Physical and Online Event Credentials are non-transferable.
Credentials Entry Requirements
- Physical Events. To ensure security and gain entry to ComedyFest Physical Event(s), Participants are required to possess and present their Credentials in the following manner: (i) badges must be worn on the ComedyFest-issued lanyard around the Participant’s neck while attending Physical Events; (ii) wristbands must be firmly attached to the Participant’s wrist and must remain on the Participant’s wrist throughout the ComedyFest Physical Events; and (iii) digital Credentials for Physical Events must be presented by the Participant on a digital device in their possession. ComedyFest reserves the right to refuse entry to Physical Events if Participants fail to wear or present their Credentials correctly.
- Online Events. Sharing of Credentials for access to Online Events is strictly prohibited. Participants must possess their own valid Credentials to attend Online Events.
Credential Entry and Restrictions.
- Access and Limitations. The ComedyFest Credentials grant entry or access to specific Events, but not necessarily all parts of an Event. Entry and participation are subject to various restrictions, such as venue capacity, technical constraints, and age limits, in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Each venue may also impose its own limitations on entry, such as compliance with Venue policies, restrictions on certain items, or requirements for negative testing. Wristbands are valid Credentials for specific Physical Events only and do not provide access to other conference activities unless specified otherwise by ComedyFest.
- Prohibited Use of Credentials. ComedyFest Credentials may not be used as prizes or incentives in any promotion, contest, game, or sweepstakes without prior written approval from ComedyFest.
- Tampering with Credentials. Any tampering with the Credentials, including stretching, tearing, cutting, taping, or any other modifications, is strictly prohibited. If tampering is detected, the Credentials will be deemed invalid and confiscated, and the Participant will be denied entry to any ComedyFest venues or Events where the Credentials are required. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
System Requirements, Content Use, and Anti-Piracy
- System Requirements. Participant acknowledges and understands that their access to Online Events and related services provided by ComedyFest or its vendors is subject to their own internet connection, hardware, and required software, including third-party software, that may need updating. ComedyFest will not be held responsible for any streaming issues, outages, interruptions, or the Participant’s inability to access Online Event content due to their internet connection or other technical issues. The Participant is responsible for ensuring their own data security when accessing the Online Events. The Participant also acknowledges that a high-speed internet connection is necessary to access the Online Events and that data usage fees may apply. The system requirements outlined in this Paragraph 9 are the sole responsibility of the Participant.
- Content Use. The availability of Event content for viewing may vary based on the Participant’s geographic location and the Credentials purchased.
- Anti-Piracy. The participant is strictly prohibited from copying, modifying, republishing, transmitting, recording, sublicensing, licensing, renting, leasing, loaning, selling, distributing, creating derivative works based on, or reverse engineering any Event content delivered by ComedyFest as part of the Events, except in accordance with these Terms, the ComedyFest Terms of Use, or other content usage guidelines provided by ComedyFest in writing, or with express permission from ComedyFest and the applicable rightsholder(s). Any violation of this provision will result in legal action by ComedyFest and/or the applicable rightsholder(s).
- Participant agrees not to use any device, software, web-based service, internet site, or other means to interfere with, circumvent, avoid, bypass, alter, or remove any digital rights management mechanism, device, or other content protection or access control measure associated with Event content, including copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices, and applicable geo-filtering mechanisms. The Participant may not use any technology or technique to obscure or disguise their location when accessing Online Events or related services.
- Image Release. Participant agrees to the Image Release incorporated herein by reference and applicable to the Event they are attending or for which they have purchased Credentials.
Image Release.
By attending and/or participating in the Events, Participant acknowledges that photographs and/or audio/video recordings will be taken by ComedyFest or others on its behalf, which may include Participant’s image, name, voice, and/or likeness. Participant hereby grants ComedyFest perpetual permission to use and sublicense Participant’s photograph, image, likeness, voice, and statements (whether in writing or orally) for any purpose, including, without limitation, commercial purposes, without compensation or credit to the Participant. This permission extends to any and all media, worldwide, now known or hereafter devised.
VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK.
By participating in the Events, the Participant acknowledges and agrees that such participation is voluntary and may involve certain risks of physical injury, property damage, intellectual property damage, or other damages or losses. Participant assumes all risk of property loss, personal injury, and/or damage that may occur as a result of participating in the Events, including exposure to CDC-identified pandemic-level communicable illnesses (including COVID-19). Participant releases ComedyFest, ComedyFest owners, ComedyFest sponsors, and ComedyFest official venues, and each of their respective officers, directors, managers, employees, volunteers, contractors, suppliers, and representatives (the “Released Parties”) from any liability associated with participating in the Events, including liability for the negligence of any Released Parties, unless such liability is due to the gross negligence of the Released Parties, in which case the release will still apply to any of the Released Parties that were not grossly negligent.
In no event shall ComedyFest be liable to any Participant or any other person or entity for any personal injury or damages to property, data loss, damages for loss of business profits or other pecuniary loss, including any direct, consequential, incidental, special, punitive, or similar damages arising out of any Participant’s use of the credentials and/or participation in the Events, even if ComedyFest or Participant has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Except as may be expressly set forth in these Terms, Participant’s participation in the Events and all services and products provided in connection with the Events are provided “as is” without any warranty of any kind. ComedyFest expressly disclaims all express, implied, or statutory warranties, representations, or conditions, whether written or oral, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, security, reliability, integration, safety, or any warranties that may arise from course of dealing. ComedyFest expressly disclaims any warranties not expressly stated herein and has made no representations or warranties to Participant about the suitability, condition, or safety of the ComedyFest Events, ComedyFest platform, or digital transmission of the Events, Participant’s ability to access or use ComedyFest content or services, any equipment provided by ComedyFest or its vendors, ComedyFest services or products supplied as part of the Events, or that the Events, including any streaming, will operate without interruption or be error-free.
Arbitration.
- At ComedyFest, we are dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction, and we will make every effort to address any issues or disputes that may arise. However, if our attempts to resolve your concerns are unsuccessful, either you or we may take further action as described in this section.
- Before initiating legal proceedings against ComedyFest, you agree to first give us an opportunity to resolve any disputes that may arise between us. To do so, please contact us directly at info@laughafterdarkComedyFest.com with any claims related to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, or any services or products we provide. We require that you wait for 60 days after contacting us before filing a suit or initiating arbitration proceedings. If we are unable to resolve your claim within this timeframe, you may pursue relief through arbitration or small claims court.
- You and ComedyFest agree that any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except for Claims that qualify for small claims court. This applies to all Claims against us, our subsidiaries, and any companies offering products or services through us.
- In arbitration, there is no judge or jury, and court review is limited. However, the arbitrator can award the same damages and relief as a court, including statutory damages, attorney fees, and costs. The arbitrator must follow and enforce these Terms.
- The American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) will conduct arbitrations according to its rules, including the AAA Consumer Rules. ComedyFest will cover all filing, administration, and arbitrator fees, except in cases where the arbitrator finds your Claim to be frivolous or brought for an improper purpose. If you start arbitration proceedings, you will need to pay the filing fee, but ComedyFest will cover all other fees or expenses charged by AAA. If AAA determines that you are unable to pay any part of the filing fee, ComedyFest will cover that portion
- All proceedings to resolve Claims will be conducted on an individual basis only, not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitrator will decide issues related to the scope of this arbitration agreement and the arbitrability of Claims. If the Claim proceeds in court rather than arbitration, you and ComedyFest waive any right to a jury trial.
Indemnification.
By participating in the Events and using the Credentials, the Participant agrees to protect, defend, and hold ComedyFest, its affiliates, and all of their respective officers, directors, managers, employees, volunteers, contractors, suppliers, and representatives harmless from any and all claims, demands, and other liabilities, including but not limited to costs and attorneys’ fees, that may be made by a third party due to the Participant’s participation in the Events, use of the Credentials, or violation of the Terms.
Venue and Jurisdiction.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, regardless of its conflict of law provisions. The Federal Arbitration Act shall govern the Arbitration provision of these Terms. If the Agreement to Arbitrate is found to be inapplicable to you or a particular Claim, you agree that any Claim that has arisen or may arise between you and ComedyFest must be resolved through litigation exclusively in a state or federal court located in Clark County, NV, in an individual capacity and not as a representative or class action. You and ComedyFest both agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located in Clark County, NV, for the purpose of resolving all such Claims or disputes.
Updates to Terms.
ComedyFest reserves the right to make changes to the Terms as posted, so be sure to check back and review the Terms from time to time prior to purchase. Any dispute between you and ComedyFest will be governed by the Terms agreed to at the time of your purchase or, if you have made no purchase, at the time of your participation or application.
General Provisions.
The parties acknowledge that nothing in these Terms creates an agency, partnership, joint venture, or employer-employee relationship between them, or between either party and the other party’s personnel. The headings in these Terms are provided for convenience only and will not be used to interpret or construe these Terms. If any term or provision of these Terms is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, it will not affect the validity or enforceability of any other term or provision (which will remain in effect). The parties will use their best efforts to substitute a provision of similar economic intent and effect. ComedyFest reserves the right to assign this agreement to a third party at its discretion.
By accepting these Terms and Conditions by clicking the button below, or by using any other electronic mechanism presented for acceptance, Participant acknowledges having read and understood the Terms and agrees to be bound by them.
VOLUNTEER TERMS
By applying to be a ComedyFest volunteer, you are agreeing to the terms set forth as follows:
THIS LAUGH AFTER DARK COMEDYFEST VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT (Agreement) is entered into on the date the application is accepted and approved in writing by Laugh After Dark Entertainment LLC (henceforth referred to as “ComedyFest”) and is entered into exclusively between ComedyFest and the individual (henceforth referred to as “Volunteer”) named on the application. - The Volunteer acknowledges and agrees that their participation as a volunteer does not establish an employment, agency, or contractor relationship with ComedyFest. The Volunteer understands that they will not receive any compensation or employee benefits and agrees to provide volunteer services solely for personal purposes, pleasure, or education.
- The Volunteer agrees to comply with all rules and directions provided by ComedyFest while acting as a volunteer. The Volunteer will refrain from making any statements, oral or written, that could harm the reputation or goodwill of the Laugh After Dark ComedyFest. Additionally, the Volunteer will not engage in self-promotion, solicit celebrity photographs or autographs, scalp volunteer tickets, or profit from volunteer privileges.
- The Volunteer will sign up for positions or shifts on a flexible schedule during the ComedyFest and provide volunteer services during the shifts they select. Volunteer Coordinators may reassign the Volunteer to different positions based on the needs of the ComedyFest during the Volunteer’s scheduled shift.
- The Volunteer is expected to arrive on time and complete each shift. If the Volunteer anticipates missing a shift due to unforeseen circumstances or emergencies, they will notify their supervisor and Volunteer Coordinator as soon as possible. Unexcused absences and habitual tardiness may limit the Volunteer’s ability to volunteer for future Festivals.
- Volunteer is requested to cancel any assigned shift within 48 hours of the shift start time.
- During Volunteer’s scheduled shifts, they will refrain from participating in ComedyFest activities.
- Volunteer will be responsible for returning all equipment provided by the ComedyFest in good working condition after their volunteer services are completed.
- Volunteer will be entitled to the following privileges: one ComedyFest fest pass for the entire festival.
- Confidentiality
Without prior written consent from the ComedyFest, Volunteer will not use or disclose any Confidential Information obtained during their volunteer services or through their involvement with the ComedyFest. This includes but is not limited to the identity of ComedyFest attendees, dates and locations of special events related to the ComedyFest, agreements related to the ComedyFest, and proprietary information, such as trade secrets and know-how. However, if required by law or court order, this restriction will not apply. Confidential Information does not include information that is publicly available through no action of Volunteer or information that has been approved for release by ComedyFest in writing.
- Term
This Agreement will begin on the date ComedyFest accepts and approves Volunteer application in writing and will continue until the completion of the ComedyFest, unless one party terminates it immediately upon notice to the other party, with or without cause. Upon termination, Volunteer must cease all activities related to the ComedyFest and leave the ComedyFest grounds. Additionally, Volunteer will lose all volunteer privileges granted under this Agreement.
- VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK.
Volunteer acknowledges that they are providing volunteer services willingly and voluntarily and are assuming full and sole responsibility for any personal injury, accidents, or illness, including death, and for any damage to or loss of personal property that may occur while providing volunteer services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Volunteer will release, indemnify, hold harmless, and defend the ComedyFest and its directors, officers, employees, agents, managers, other volunteers, contractors, and representatives (collectively referred to as “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all liabilities, losses, claims, demands, liens, and actions of any nature whatsoever, including attorney fees and defense costs (collectively referred to as “Liabilities”) arising from or related to this Agreement. The release, indemnification, hold harmless, and defense obligations extend to Liabilities in favor of, claimed, demanded, or brought by Volunteer, Volunteer’s heirs, personal representatives, and assigns, the Indemnified Parties, or third parties on account of injury, death, property damage, or other losses, now existing or arising in the future. The provisions of this paragraph will survive termination or expiration of this Agreement.
